Event description
A deep dive into India's startups and the rise of FinTech

About this Event

As India is going through a complete digital transformation, FinTech companies are playing a vital role by promoting the financial inclusion of people from all walks of life and disrupting sectors like lending, payments, insurance, credit settlements, and more.

The year 2018 was a big one for the Indian financial technology and financial services ecosystem. With $2.34 billion being raised across 145 deals, Fintech finally unseated e-commerce from the top of the list after years of dominance. According to NASSCOM, the Indian Fintech market is expected to grow at a CAGR of 22 percent for the next five years. Another KPMG report states that the transaction value for the Indian Fintech sector was estimated to be approximately $33 billion in 2016 and is expected to reach $73 billion by 2020. The major challenge now is to grow the pie and focus their services on the next 500 million users.

Finimize would like to speak to our community about the changing Fintech landscape in India.

Apart from covering the current trends, challenges and opportunities in India's Fintech ecosystem, we would also like to bring out the below three perspectives during the panel discussion:

1. Investor perspective - Criteria for investing in a Fintech company

2. Company perspective - Opportunities and challenges that lie before Fintech company

3. Government perspective - Indian / State government initiatives to support the Fintech ecosystem
