About this event
Museum Talk
For decades, decolonisation in museums has been one of the most important issues, which involves the complexity of museum history and the process of modernity. It influences all areas of museum practice, shaping interdisciplinary collaborations to include and respond to different voices from multiple social communities. For ICOM Student and Emerging Professional's session in July, Hsiao-Chiang will share her experience and cases from the Decolonising Museum’s Websites project with The Hunterian Museum. Her talk will explore these questions: What does it mean to decolonise museums in the 21st century? How can technology support us in improving inclusivity and accessibility for museum users?
The purpose of our events is to create a community for conversations and to reshape museum's future with ICOM. We welcome all voices that you can bring for discussions during the Q&A.
