Biography

Dr Dominic Griffiths is a Senior Lecturer in the Philosophy of Education at University of Witswatersrand, School of Education. He completed his PhD in Philosophy at the University of Auckland and thereafter took up a postdoctoral fellowship in the University of Johannesburg’s Philosophy Department. His research interests are broadly in Philosophy of Education and African Philosophy of Education. His background is in Continental Philosophy, particularly Phenomenology and Hermeneutics, and his interests are in how these traditions can inform and develop Philosophy of Education.
