Designed for parents of children who have suspected or diagnosed ADHD, or similar neurodivergent characteristics, these free 45-minute sessions offer a weekly opportunity to learn and discuss parenting challenges in a non-judgemental environment.

All sessions are completely free, and you can join as many as you wish. Each week, 25-30 minutes will be dedicated to a new topic, with 15-20 interactive minutes dedicated to Q&A, where any parent can meet (virtually), share (if you want) and hear from other parents on similar journeys.

TOPICS INCLUDE:

• Overcoming learned helplessness

• Combatting rejection sensitivity

• Strengthening self-regulation

• Enhancing executive functioning

• Building resilience skills

• Cultivating a growth mindset

• Encouraging positive reinforcement

• Managing moods with mindfulness

• Outwitting oppositional defiance

• Navigating school challenges

• Promoting positive relationships

• Fostering independence in your child

Each session explores different challenges, positive psychology approaches, and practical strategies to promote parenting self-efficacy, enhance wellbeing, and influence positive behavioural changes.

🌟 ABOUT THE SPEAKER 🌟

Zeena Hicks is a positive psychologist, accredited EMCC leadership coach, and author. She is also a mum of two spirited boys with ADHD and comorbid traits (a complex word for other ‘conditions’ present, such as ASD, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, ODD, Anxiety, Depression, etc).

With a master’s in applied positive psychology and coaching psychology and currently, in the middle of a doctorate, her passion is empowering individuals to enjoy the personal journey that they are on and to feel they are making a meaningful difference in whichever path they choose.

Zeena helps parents better understand ADHD by sharing empowering evidence-based insights, practices and strategies, influenced by positive psychology. Her aim for these free bite-sized sessions is to create an environment where parents feel supported, heard, and confidently capable of guiding their families beyond surviving and accelerating towards thriving!
