Event description

Description

THE COURSE
Learn to use true chalk paints and master a range of decorative techniques suitable for different furniture styles. On this two-day course you will build up a series of samples on wooden mouldings and will also have the opportunity to decorate a couple of small items or a small piece of furniture.

Following an introduction to eco-friendly chalk paints, you will learn a variety of techniques and processes which will enable you to transform small pieces of furniture or artefacts. You will create a variety of antiqued and distressed finishes on both flat and moulded surfaces. Techniques will include antiquing, distressing, glazing, stencilling and simple freehand painting. You will build up a series of samples on day one and then sample and apply skills learnt to your chosen pieces of furniture or artefacts on day two.
