Overview

The Each and Every Child framing recommendations are designed to shift public attitudes and build understanding of care experience and the care system in Scotland. In doing this, we can counter stigma and discrimination. However, research shows that is hard to have conversations about stigma itself without actually making it worse.

Explanation matters. This session will look in depth at the Stigma recommendation, and how we can combat stigma by explaining how stigma works, what it is, where it comes from, what it leads to and how it can be countered.

opportunities for discussions that will explore how you can use this recommendation in your specific roles and conversations.

Who Should Attend?

This session builds on the techniques discussed in the Introduction to Framing and Framing Care Experience. If you work in any capacity around care, this workshop will help you communicate more effectively about how the system works.
