About this Event

The Workshop

“Just relax and let the sound of the gong take you where you need to go”.

During the workshop we will explore:

During this blissful 60 minute session, there will be a gentle warming up of the body, a seated pranayam (breath work) and then you will lie down and let yourself deeply relax with a Yoga Nidra "yogic sleep" journey and then lose yourself in the powerful sound vibrations of the Gong. Just bring your presence and willingness to let go, allowing the deep relaxation to boost your well-being. There will be 15 minutes after the event to gradually ease out of the relaxation before leaving the space.

One of the most profound ways to create relaxation is through a guided process known a Yoga Nidra or "Yogic Sleep". Yoga Nidra induces deep relaxation, heightens awareness, enables self-diagnosis, integrates changes, and accelerates healing.

The Gong strengthens the parasympathetic nervous system, tunes up the glandular system and slows the brain waves down, creating conditions for deep relaxation and healing. The Gong also has an accumulative healing effect on the mind, body and spirit, inviting clarity, vibrancy and intuition. When the mind is still you can move into your heart and experience your own true nature, your own truth, your own Sat Nam.

What to wear & bring: It's best to wear comfortable loose or stretchy clothing, with layers to cover up for the relaxation periods. Please bring a yoga mat if you have one (there are some mats available at the venue). You will be lying down for approx an hour so please bring whatever you need to be warm and comfortable, this might include a sheepskin rug, cushion/pillow, blanket, scarf/eye pillow to cover the eyes etc. Please bring water. No experience is necessary.

Precautions: Not suitable during pregnancy, if you have epilepsy, a serious mental health condition or any condition which is sound sensitive or could be triggered by sound e.g. metal implants/pacemaker.

About the Gong

The sound gongs produce is completely safe and is well below the threshold for any hearing damage. We say this as the experience of being submerged by the sound vibrations can feel very strong for some people, however it is completely safe and used for many healing and therapeutic purposes.
