Monday 21 February 2022 (9.30am - 3.00pm)

This module starts by inviting partner teachers to review the core aims of their shared education partnership and then focuses on what collaborative learning looks like in practice. It is aimed at teachers working in KS2 and KS3.The module enables teachers to move beyond the exchange of information between pupils to the co-creation of digital content by pupils through the practical use of communications platforms like GSuite or Office 365 and software that supports digital content creation. This process includes attention to team building and helping pupils develop skills in editing and shaping digital content. The module will also include guidance on how collaborative work can be assessed.

The first two days of the module provide teachers with the skills to plan a 6-week collaborative project, leading to the implementation of the plan in the classroom and then a final day of reflection on key lessons that emerged.

Course Aims:• To develop an understanding of how to promote deeper levels of collaboration through the co-creation of digital content

• To develop professional partnerships between teachers to enable them to plan, implement and evaluate collaborative online learning

• To create a community of shared practice around online collaborative learning in which partners contribute their own experiences and learn from others
