The Deer begin their rutting season in autumn. That's a time of Stags gathering female deer in large groups, mating, clashing antlers with other stags for territory, and `rutting' (a deep throat growling non-stop) for weeks!
We are gathering at Richmond park, to observe this seasonal, natural activity from safe distances (Rutting stags are high in adrenalin and energy and can turn on people if people go near). We'll have a safe exploratory walk, take photos, smell them from afar (yes, you can smell them from 10-20 meters away, and we'll tune into all to do some informal and internal magic of our own!
It's an opportunity not to be missed, if you are a follower/ worshiper of Antlered Deities like Hern the Hunter, Cernunnos the lord of the Wild, and Elen the Antlered Goddess, this is a wonderful chance for you.
** FREE event*** spaces limited to 15. pls reserve a space.
This is a non-intrusive pagan exploratory event spotting deer & other woodland features. There will be short breaks to rest. So you may wish to bring a small cushion to sit on, as well as some snacks/ drinks /wine etc for your self.
Honouring Hern & horned deities. We have learnt only very recently that Royal parks do not allow `religious activities'. That does not stop anyone standing still and attuning to nature, As magicians and Witches, the only tool we need are our bodies and minds! So we shall work to tune to the powers around us and within..!
What to bring:
