Following some adjustments to the UK Defence & Security Exports (UKDSE) briefing package for outgoing UK defence staff before they take up their posts at UK Embassies and High Commissions abroad, Make UK Defence has agreed an enhanced opportunity within this for industry engagement and participation.
BENEFITS OF ATTENDING:
Industry attendees will have the opportunity to have one-to-one scheduled meetings with the outgoing defence staff in those countries of potential interest, and it is hoped that, where possible, the relevant country desk officers and military support staff from UKDSE will also be in attendance. Regional International Trade Advisors have also been invited to attend the event. Each booking allows for two representatives from each company to attend. One representative can be based in the UK Capability Showcase where companies can speak directly with outgoing defence staff, whilst the other representative can display limited company specific equipment/literature in the LEC Exhibition Hall. There will be a limited amount of plinths available on request on a first come, first served basis.

- 14:30 Delegates to arrive from this time and set up in LEC Exhibition Hall
- 16:00 Round 1 - exhibition and speed dating*
- 17:00 Round 2 - speed dating and exhibition*
- 18:00 Escort to Royal Artillery Officers Mess or offsite
- 19:15 Curry supper buffet served
- 23:00 Event to close
*The Defence Attaché’s will be split into two different groups, with one group in the LEC Exhibition Hall and the other in the UK Capability Showcase. This will be timed and whilst in the UK Capability Showcase one delegate from each company will move around the room and meet each Defence Attaché. Whilst this is taking place the other group will network with companies in the LEC Exhibition Hall, the groups will then swap on the hour.
