Introduction to Define Fine: Supporting Parents of Children Unable to Attend School


Welcome to Define Fine, a compassionate and understanding community crafted by parents, for parents. We recognise the unique challenges faced by parents and carers of children and young people who are unable to attend school due to various reasons. We understand the worries, uncertainties, and complexities that come with this situation, and we are here to offer you support, guidance, and a network of individuals who share similar experiences.


Our Mission:


At Define Fine, we aim to create a safe haven for parents and carers, fostering a sense of belonging and understanding. Our peer support group is dedicated to providing valuable resources, emotional support, and a platform for sharing knowledge. We believe in the power of community, where parents can find solace in knowing they are not alone in their journey.


What to Expect in This Session:


In today's session, we carry out a short presentation to introduce Define Fine and then there will be a chance to ask your own questions. Louise will share insights and expertise, providing practical solutions and emotional support. This session is designed to empower you with knowledge, enabling you to navigate the challenges you face with confidence.

Define Fine provide Continuing Professional Development training, consultancy and case management for EBSA: school attendance difficulties including barriers linked to Special Educational Needs physical or mental health for Parent Carer Forums, SENDiass, Local Authorities, Integrated Care Boards , Health, Peer Support and Advice groups.

Our CPD courses can be tailored to the requirements for your organisation. We also have individual places on our monthly courses which can be booked through Eventbrite.

We run regular Parent Carer support, advice and Q&A sessions for members of our closed Facebook Group Define Fine Parent Peer Support for School Attendance Difficulties Closed.
