Event description

Description

Internationally acclaimed graphic designer and educator Otl Aicher was responsible for the brand identity for some of Germany's most iconic brands including bulthaup, FSB, Lufthansa and Erco. He co-founded the Ulm School of design with Bauhaus student Max Bill and went on to design the graphics for the 1972 Munich Olympics and later the 'Rotis' font widely used in contemporary design and architectural circles. Following the sellout success of their event last year, celebrating the life and work of this 'Father of Corporate Identity', bulthaup and FSB are delighted to be hosting it again but this time in the more spacious venue at the RIBA. Design consultant Craig Allen will present a lecture about Aicher's life and work, which will include a personal tribute from Lord Norman Foster, specially recorded for the event. There will then be a panel discussion with a Q&A with some visiting experts. Drinks and canapes will be served afterwards.
