Defying the odds and winning: An Employability Workshop
Defying the odds and winning is a one-day intensive workshop provided by Freedom Works UK to jobseekers who are looking to gain a distinct advantage in securing and retaining long-term employment.
In this intensive workday we will work in small groups of between 10 to 20 to coach clients to shift their mindset from one of fear, anxiety and hope, to confidence, self-esteem and a winning attitude.
We will work with each individual, as well as the group as a whole, to unlock jobseekers’ innate natural passion and align this passion to a profession that they see for themselves as being rewarding and offering bright future prospects.
We will create a six month detailed plan of action to enable each client secure their ideal job (within one month), retain the job, and then make it their own (within five months). The plan of action will be tailored to each client and will include a vision, mission, focus and a direction. It will focus on four key areas of action:
- creating time to look for and apply for jobs;
- creating job opportunities and offers;
- creating connections, relationships and building a network; and
- financial management and generating an income.
The programme will also support each client to improve and update their CV and LinkedIn profile honestly to reflect their vision and mission.
Jobseekers will get practical coaching on:
- selling themselves;
- securing opportunities not available in the adverts;
- calling prospective employees to create opportunities;
- presentation and conversation skills;
- public speaking skills; and
- completing a job application.
At the end of the day, jobseekers will make their first application!
