Degree Apprenticeships: Is your business missing out?
Wed 24 May 2017, 16:00 – 19:00 BST
On the 6th April 2017, the HMRC will begin collecting the apprenticeship levy from employers across the UK.
Whether you qualify to pay the levy or not you can access funding to upskill your workforce in a number of areas from Leadership and Management to more technical trades such as quantity surveying, building surveying, digital and technology solutions and embedded electronics.
If your pay bill is more than £3 million per year, you may already be aware that you will be required to pay the apprenticeship levy. However, if your pay bill is less and you don’t qualify you can still access the funding!
The University of Portsmouth is one of only six universities in the UK currently delivering a Degree Apprenticeship programme, this Hot Topic Seminar offers a rare opportunity to hear from the participants and businesses in their own words.
We will walk employers through the exciting Degree Apprenticeship programmes currently taking place at the University of Portsmouth. You will also hear from the participants themselves and from business leaders currently engaged in the programme outlining how it has delivered for them.
Afterwards, there will be an opportunity to speak with key university staff and learn how the process works, register interest and network with peers.
Spaces on this hot topic are expected to be in high demand, early booking is advised.
