The DE&I Tech Collective : Hack Inclusion
Let’s be honest, inclusion still isn’t where it needs to be.
Too often it’s underfunded, misunderstood or treated like someone else’s responsibility and while the conversations are happening, real lasting change still feels just out of reach.
That’s where Hack Inclusion comes in!
This isn’t your typical panel session, no stages, no buzzwords just real people, real challenges and real solutions built together.
What’s Hack Inclusion all about?
We’re bringing together people from the local Tech Community for a hands-on collaborative session designed to do, not just talk.
Together, we’ll tackle the big blockers to inclusion in tech, from biased hiring processes to the lack of support for early careers and underrepresented talent.
You’ll work in small groups to:
• Tackle a real-world inclusion challenge
• Design a practical solution your team can actually try out
• Share your idea and leave with a collection of ideas we can all use
This is more than a one-off event, we’re building a community committed to turning intent into action.
What you’ll get out of it:
• Tangible DE&I actions you can take back and test with your team
• Fresh thinking and ideas from people outside your usual circles
• A sense of “I’m not the only one doing this”
• A new network of peers who care about meaningful change
• Confidence to have better conversations about inclusion in your own organisation
• A bank of ideas, tools and micro-initiatives to try out straight away
• The start of a community you can lean on, learn from and build with
Who it’s for?
• Tech and talent leaders looking to drive inclusion
• Mid-level professionals who want to be part of the change
• Junior team members with lived experience and ideas to share
• Anyone in a scaling tech business who wants to build a fairer, more inclusive workplace
What to bring:
• A laptop (if you like to work digitally)
• Your ideas, lived experienced and an open mind
