Delapré Food Festival 2024

Brought to you by the creators of Towcester Food Festival and Bite Street NN, Delapré Food Festival is an exciting new food and drink event for 2024.

Food and drink stalls will adorn the south lawn at Delapré Abbey along with outdoor bars and the best street food for miles around as we bring the beautiful urban, country house and its gardens to life for a grand summer weekend.

Delapré Food Festival is a celebration of artisan food and drink from Northamptonshire and beyond with food and drink stalls, professional chef demo stage, wine and gin tastings, cheese masterclases, cocktail masterclasses, street food curated by Bite Streeet NN, music, kids activities and kids cookery classes.

The chef demos will run every hour during the festival and feature the best local chefs. They will each cook a dish on stage using fresh seasonal produce while providing tips for an amateur cook from the professional kitchen.

The line up includes James Peck from Ember in Wellingborough, Bart Polinski, head chef at Hibiscus, Justin Lefevre from The Red Lion in Culworth, spice expert Anita Chilpalkatty and Carmelo Sereno Hayes, the Queen of Italian Cuisine in Northampton.

The gin tastings will be hosted by Warner's Gin and will take place three times each day. The wine tasting sessions will be themed around particular wines and hosted by Josh Moinet of Vinebud in Towcester. These sessions are free with limited capacity and will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

The cheese masterclasses offer the chance to sample some of the finest cheese from Modena in Italy, cheddars and blues while learning all about cheese from expert Shane Holland. Number 13 Bar will host the cocktail masterclasses. Additional paid tickets are required for the cheese and cocktail masterclasses.

Tickets include admission the house. There are guided tours twice a day or you can explore at your leisure. The house will be open on both days from 10am to 4pm. Sorry but no dogs or food or drink in the house.

Tickets:

Online booking via Eventbrite. Tickets include access to the walled gardens and admission into the house, either for a twice-daily guided tour or for you to walk round at your leisure. No dogs or food and drink are allowed in the house.

Early bird adult tickets £10. Second release tickets £15 and final release/on the day tickets £20. Children under the age of ten are free. Child ticket (ten years and above) £2.50. Family tickets (two adults and two children) - early bird £20. Second release family tickets tickets £34 and final release/on the day £45. Booking fees apply. Free on-site parking.

Dogs: Well behaved dogs kept on lead are welcome but are not allowed inside the house or in the chef demo tent.

What can/can't I bring to the event?

No alcohol or food (other than snacks for small children) are allowed into the event.

What is the refund policy?

If the event is cancelled and cannot be rescheduled, tickets will be refunded in full. Other than that, no refunds will be given.
