Delivering a trauma and resiliency informed service – discussion event

You are cordially invited to participate in a discussion event, facilitated by the Commission on 5 November from 10am – 3.30pm at Riddel Hall, Belfast.
The purpose is to update on progress by the Commission in embedding a trauma and resiliency informed approach to its work, and to provide a forum for sharing experiences of trauma informed practices by a range of practitioners.
You will hear from Professor Ciaran Mulholland on his perspective of supporting victims and survivors of the Troubles/Conflict. The day will include inputs from Commission staff and external practitioners, followed by a number of facilitated discussion of themes including:
- Learning from history.
- Trauma informed engagement with victims and survivors using the victim lens.
- Training and supporting staff and,
- How the trauma and resiliency informed approach is applied in Commission investigations.
There will be opportunities throughout the day for sharing experiences and asking questions.
