    This event is part of our drop-in event series for Scottish Islands-based community groups to discuss the challenges associated with building on Scottish Islands, share expertise, network, find solutions and suggest policy asks.

    The Drop-Ins are informal, and will be facilitated by one of the organising networks and will dive straight into the session's topic. Attendees are encouraged to come prepared with some thoughts and questions for their peers.

    Event description

    These bi-monthly drop-ins (once every two months) are for Development Trusts Association Scotland (DTAS), Community Land Scotland Outer Hebrides (CLSOH) and Scottish Islands Federation (SIF) members and are designed as a dedicated forum for Trustees and staff from Scottish Islands-based community groups to exchange, gain advice and support from their peers on the topic of delivering capital projects from Scottish Islands.

    • Planning regulations and building standards - Wednesday 19th of June, 10am - 11am
    • Access to Land - Thursday 22nd of August , 10am - 11am
    • Managing and maintaining assets in the long-term - Wednesday 16th of October, 10am - 11am
    • Funding for Islands-based capital projects - Thursday 12th of December, 10am - 11am
    • Working with consultants and contractors - Wednesday 19th of February, 10am - 11am
