Event description

Description

**This Event is for HPMA London Academy Members only**

Please note that at this stage the description is a repeat of the taster day content. The final content will be designed in light of feedback from the taster day.

There is a compelling body of evidence on the impact of compassionate leadership on healthcare outcomes, and indeed compassionate and inclusive leadership is seen as a critical capability within of the newly published ‘Developing People, improving Care’ framework. We see compassion not only as a state of empathy and awareness, but as a powerful enabler for innovation and creativity, multi-stakeholder working, building systems and distributed leadership, and working with emergent change processes.

During this session, participants will have the opportunity to explore how compassionate and inclusive leadership operates at different levels of system (in themselves, in their teams, and in their organisations), using a spiritual-systemic framework which integrates core dimensions of presence, love and meaning, held within an over-arching dimension of one-ness/wholeness. Participants will be able to locate strengths and development needs within their own systems, and begin some of the work to identify blockers and enablers for change.

We will also introduce Focusing, a mindful, somatic awareness practice, a powerful approach in supporting a compassionate and inclusive stance, as well as systemic constellations to support inclusive awareness of multiple stakeholder needs and perspectives.
