Event description
Join F4S at Bristol Technology Festival to explore how to close the digital skills gap & inspire young people to choose careers in tech.

About this event

Tech and IT-related job vacancies make up 12% of all open UK job vacancies, with more than 100K open vacancies per month. It is the fastest-growing sector. At the same time, the Tech sector struggles to attract diverse talent and even less so build a diverse talent pipeline to fill these desperately needed skills.

The Questions:

How do we get young people interested in STE(A)M.

How can we help them understand and acquire the skills needed to thrive in Tech related Industries and become successful members of the workforce?

How will this need to change in the near future?

Do we have the infrastructure in place to deliver what our economy needs?

How can education outreach help us bridge the Gap?

Panel discussion addressing the issue with experts from Industry and the Skills sector.

Panel Speakers (confirmed):

  • Michaela Eschbach, Managing Director, Founders4schools
  • Russ Shaw, Founder of Tech London Advocates (TLA) and Global Tech Advocates
  • Representatives from local industry

All are welcome but if you are working in talent development, career education, employability, workforce development or have a passion for helping young people have a brighter future & closing the UK skills gap then please join us.
