Event description

Description

Participation in education outside the classroom enables children to develop their character, skills and experience; influencing young people’s ability to thrive in school and in later life. However, the number and variety of activities available to children is not evenly distributed. Some children are not able to access the life experiences available to others, leaving them at a disadvantage.

Every child should have the opportunity to be empowered and reach their full potential through education outside the classroom. Enabling as many young people as possible the ability to benefit from outdoor education is vital for achieving social mobility. Activities such as sport, outdoor adventure and volunteering are essential for children to lead happy and successful lives.

This event will discuss how to deliver social justice through education outside of the classroom.

The event is very kindly supported by NCS Trust.
