Description

Delivering The Industrial Strategy - The Role of Local Anchor Institutions

This free event, co-hosted by HEFCE, the LGA, the NHS Confederation and UUK will bring together leaders from across Local Government, Higher Education and Health and Care to explore the local partnerships necessary to deliver the Industrial Strategy.

In particular we will draw on practical lessons from two cross-sector flagship programmes run throughout 2017-18: the Local Growth Academy and Leading Places Programme, which focused on the role of Anchor Institutions and place-based leadership to drive Local and Inclusive Growth.

Joining us will be a government Minister, as well as Senior Leaders from the Public and Private Sectors with direct experience of aligning strategies across Local Government, Higher Education and Health and Care.

(This event will be of interest to those who participated in the Local Growth Academy and Leading Places Programmes, as well as other colleagues responsible for strategy, transformation, economic development, external relations, innovation and public health. )
