Demand Avoidance

In partnership with Coventry SENDIASS team Coventry's Complex, Communication Team (CCT) bring you this online session to explore, and help to develop a shared understanding of Autism with a pathological/extreme demand avoidant profile.

Session Aims:

• To develop a shared understanding of Autism with a pathological/extreme demand avoidant profile and explore reasons why children are demand avoidant in their thinking, learning and communication.
• To explore and understand the impact of demand avoidance on the child and others, and to support related communicating behaviours.
• To develop a toolkit of strategies and interventions appropriate for the management of children and young people with Autism and pathological/extreme demand avoidance
