Event description

Description

As a community, Wadebridge is continuing to work towards becoming dementia friendly. To start the year off positively a conference is taking place to bring people in the locality; retailers, businesses, services, care providers and local organisations together to explore the small things that we can all be doing to make a big difference to people living with dementia.

Called “Small Actions = Great Changes” the Wadebridge Dementia Action Alliance conference is taking place on Tuesday 9th January 2018; 9:30am to 4pm at the John Betjeman Centre, Wadebridge.

Speakers will be sharing information on core themes including using Nature to enhance the wellbeing of people living with dementia, the research underpinning helpful approaches, the things that social enterprises and retailers can do to help.

Lunch and beverages are provided, when booking please tell us of any specific dietry needs you have.

Car parking on site at the John Betjeman Centre will be limited to disabled parking on the day. There is plenty of public car parking space in several car parks close by Including the Jubilee Road and Library; fees for which can be found here: http://www.wadebridge-tc.gov.uk/about-the-council/car-park-charges.html

To involve as many participants as possible the Conference is free to attend with donations to cover costs being invited on the day. Bookings are warmly invited online at: daw2018.eventbrite.co.uk Phone Enquiries (not bookings) at 07551 395188 Email: dawadebridge@gmail.com Web page: www.wdaa.btck.co.uk
