Event description
A co-produced dementia film screening event with Silent Elephant Project and University of Manchester/ Manchester Metropolitan Students

About this Event

The Silent Elephant Project (SEP) is an accredited short film workshop that investigates, researches and raises the awareness of marginalised health conditions that affect our communities. These are health issues that rarely get a platform or get discussed in public. By creating fictional storylines to raise awareness for factual subject health matters, we build engagement with the participants and the general public creating an environment for further conversations/dialogue and research with the hope to stimulate ideas for innovations and improvements for support systems.

This summer saw SEP collaborate with student interns from Manchester Metropolitan University and The University of Manchester in the investigation/research on 'Dementia'.

The production upon completion is titled "In Their Eyes" and this screening event is a premiere showcase of the final short film production at UKFast Campus, Birley Fields, Manchester, England, M15 5QJ.

What to expect at the event?

  • Short Film Screening
  • Talk from Charity around Dementia
  • Interactive discussions and Q&A
  • Practical 'Call To Actions'
