Dementia is the leading cause of death in England and with people living with dementia in England set to rise to 900,000 by 2025 and to over 1.3 million by 2040 it is the huge and growing challenge for the health and social care.

Open Forum Events has a burgeoning portfolio of health and social care conferences and is proud to announce the Dementia Awareness- Tackling a Growing Challenge conference.

It is hard to find a person whose life has not been touched in some way by dementia either personally or professionally. There are many disparities in dementia, whether it be risk factors, diagnosis rates, or delivery of personalised treatment and quality care. This meeting will feature a comprehensive programme of presentations and topics designed to develop greater understanding of the support needed by people with dementia, along with their families and carers, regardless of setting or situation.

An impressive line-up of experts will guide us through a day of informative sessions where we will hear in depth about the challenges that are faced. Delegates will be updated on the current situation and hear about the latest developments, as we look to improve diagnosis rates, treatment, care and support. Exemplars of best practice will be shared to provide a path to positive progress and improved outcomes. There will be ample opportunity to discuss, debate and exchange knowledge throughout the day, along with informal networking during the refreshment breaks.

This event is for anyone committed to tackling dementia and supporting people affected by the condition and their families and carers. To that end, the significant conference content has been designed to offer insight and inspiration that can be utilised in both personal and professional practice to allow people to live well with dementia.
