Coffee Conversation: Support Services, including how digital services can help people living with dementia and their unpaid carers in their daily lives.
Do you want to know more about the Support Services offered by Alzheimer Scotland and also about how digital services can enhance the lives of people living with dementia?
In this Coffee Conversation, we are delighted to welcome Kirsty McDonald, National Support Services Lead, along from Alzheimer Scotland to talk about the National Support Services that Alzheimer Scotland deliver (which includes the Dementia Advisor Service, Helpline, Counselling Service and Digital Service).
Also joining us is Rachel McLauchlan from our Dementia Team who will be talking about a new research network called CONSOLIDATE with whom we are partnered with Heriot-Watt University and the University of Strathclyde in. CONSOLIDATE aims to explore how the use of technology can help people living with dementia remain independent for longer at home. There will be time for comments and questions after you have heard from our speakers.
In our regular Coffee Conversations events, we explore, in an informal and relaxed atmosphere, different topics of relevance to people living with dementia and their carers. If you care for, work with or support someone living with dementia, or if you live with dementia yourself, please come and take part: share your ideas, questions and experiences and hear from others. We will pass on information and resources and generally keep the conversation going.
