Fungi Sessions marks the première of Hannah Read’s albums The Fungi Sessions Vol. 1 and Vol. 2 as an audiovisual installation. The Edinburgh-born musician and composer gives voice to fungi through songs dedicated to her late father, Nick Read, a pioneering fungal cell biologist. This unique collaboration with mycologist Dr Patrick Hickey features a suite of microscopic time-lapse videos that illuminate each track. Join us to hear how the project was created and what technology was used in the filming.

These monthly meetings are designed for people living with dementia and a family member or carer. Sessions are free and facilitated, with refreshments and activities provided and volunteers on hand to assist.

Please book one ticket per person attending, including the family member or carer. Numbers are limited, so please ensure you cancel your booking if you can no longer attend so that we can give tickets to people on the waiting list.

For more information or to enquire about group bookings, please contact community@rbge.org.uk or leave a message on 0131 248 2956.
