Dementia Friends Training
Event Information
Description
The Dementia Friendly Communities - Hull Steering Group is a group of people who are passionate about helping those living amongst us with dementia, they give their time voluntarily to help make Hull a place for all to feel safe and live as independently as possible in communities across the city.
We started work some months ago to help the Newland Community to become a friendly environment where people with dementia can shop, visit cafes and simply enjoy a walk along the avenue. For The Alzheimer's Society Dementia Awareness Week we are offering a chance for anyone who wishes to learn more about how they can support people with dementia and their families to come along to one of our sessions to do just that!!
You may be supporting a family member or be one of the fantastic businesses in the area who recognise the importance of supporting your customers and training your staff, all are welcome!
The session is very informal and friendly and will only take up around 50 minutes of your time, you will be given a bage to wear to say you have completed the training.
There is no charge for the training.
