Dementia Public Lectures Afternoon

The afternoon includes two lectures by visiting experts. Professor Ian James (Northumberland Tyne & Wear NHS Foundation Trust and Honorary Professor, University of Bradford) will deliver a lecture about ‘Helping Staff Become Aware of their Communication and Interaction Skills in Supporting People with Dementia’. Professor Ann Kolanowski (Pennsylvania State University) will deliver a lecture about ‘Delirium Superimposed on Dementia: Improving Transitions through Healthcare Settings’. Those registering can attend one or both lectures.
The afternoon also includes an Interactive Dementia Information Session providing an informal opportunity for lecture attendees to meet researchers and academics and learn about the work of the School of Dementia Studies.
