Each Dementia Star award involves attending a 2-hour interactive and experiential
training session, delivered by Enrichment for the Elderly. These bite-sized chunks
allow delegates to learn at their own pace and make the sessions more able to be
fit into a busy training calendar. The awards are designed to follow on to each
other after each delegate has attended a dementia friends information session.
Skills and knowledge you will improve:
- Recognises the label of dementia and how it can affect someone
- Understands the impact dementia has on the senses
- Understands the impact dementia may have on behaviour
- Can see the changes they can make to support someone living with
