Dementia@ Manchester: from Cell to Society - Research Day

Joint research day from the Centre for Clinical and Cognitive Neuroscience and MICRA

 

Overview:

  • Our second University-wide dementia research day will see the launch of the Dementia@Manchester network and strategy, and will provide the opportunity to hear more about the range of dementia activity taking place across the University.


About:
 

  • Aims to give researchers from any discipline insight into the breadth of dementia research, the available resources and potential for collaboration across the University and beyond
  • Presentation of the Dementia@Manchester network and discussion of its developing strategic themes.
  • Launch of the Dementia@Manchester web site
  • Presentations focused on the vision and opportunities offered by this breadth of dementia expertise and activity focused around the six strategic themes.
  • Facilitated networking enabling researchers from different disciplines to explore opportunities for interdisciplinary research  
  • Identification of opportunities for follow-on workshops on specific topics, funding opportunities, etc.

 
Who: 

  • University of Manchester academics, post-docs and PhD students with an interest in dementia and neurodegeneration from any discipline (EPS, FLS, Humanities and MHS)
  • Manchester Academic Health Science Centre (MAHSC) partners
  • Invited guests

We would encourage you to attend the whole day to maximise your understanding of the breadth of research in Dementia@Manchester and the opportunities for collaborative working across the disciplines.
