What is Impact the Food Chain?

The Dutch food chain is in need of change. The Dutch landscape is suffering from a loss of biodiversity and CO2 emissions still require drastic reductions. But: the Netherlands is the second largest exporter of agro-food products worldwide. What if we use this position to make real impact across the food chain and accelerate the transition to a more sustainable food system?

Impact the Food Chain is Impact Hub Amsterdam's umbrella program that supports innovative food entrepreneurs through various acceleration programs. In the 5-month Accelerator program, we support startups and SMEs (Dutch: MKB’s) who aim to make the food chain more sustainable. During the course of 13 training days, we help them get their business ready for investment, growth and impact. Read more about the Impact the Food Chain Accelerator.

This program is a part of De Nieuwe Boerenfamilie (the New Farmer’s Family) platform.

Impact Hub Amsterdam’s purpose is to accelerate the new economy.

To facilitate this transition, we build ecosystems for pioneers, entrepreneurs and leaders that accelerate and develop entrepreneurial initiatives for a better world. And we help those who are next in line to drive change: from SMEs, Corporates and Foundations.

Through our ecosystems you can develop valuable insights on creating impact, take action on sustainability, connect with innovative solutions, and accelerate your impact. Our ecosystems focus on the topics circularity, inclusion, food and new plastics.
