Demonstrating Social Value - Evidence that Wins Contracts

Demonstrating Social Value - Evidence that Wins Contracts

By GM Business Growth Hub @ The Growth Company

Overview

This programme will give you a deeper understanding in to the most common measurement frameworks used to measure and report on Social Value.

Once you’ve embedded Social Value within your business, the next step is learning how to measure and demonstrate your impact effectively.

Social Value is about more than good intentions — it’s about showing real, measurable results that matter to buyers, communities, and stakeholders. This practical workshop focuses on how to evaluate, quantify, and communicate your organisation’s Social Value through widely recognised frameworks.

You’ll learn how to assess your impact, calculate Social Return on Investment (SROI), and use frameworks such as the National TOMs (Themes, Outcomes and Measures) and the Social Value Model. You’ll also explore how environmental weighting and carbon reduction plans influence tender scoring — and how to position your business accordingly.

Topics include:

  • Understanding Social Value and your business impact
  • Social Return on Investment (SROI)
  • National TOMs (NTs)
  • The Social Value Model
  • Reporting and communicating your Social Value
  • Environmental weighting in tenders
  • Carbon Reduction Plans
  • Q&A session

By the end of this workshop, you will:

  • Understand the key methods for measuring Social Value
  • Know how to create a Social Value account or report for your organisation or contract
  • Gain insight into best practice examples of how Social Value reporting strengthens tenders

Please note that participation in the Introduction to Social Value workshop is mandatory prior to attending this workshop. Please head over to this page and register for the session if you have not attended it yet.
