Demystifying Magic & Intuition

The history of taboo surrounding the use of magic and intuition has created a vale of darkness and secrecy around what it means to be spiritual and clairvoyant. This Sunday we will attempt to lift that vale of mystery, with discussions, tarot sessions and more.

The Botanical bar

Brought to you by Ìbile Botànica will be in full effect serving fresh organic and artisanal blended beverages. The head Botanical Mixologist, Mutulu serves nutrient dense iced teas, mood-boosting organic juices and mocktails that are a layered blend of fruits, herbs and spices cultivated to fuel your daily rituals in self-care.

A panel discussion

With special guests, bodywork therapist Laurence Sessou and Mutulu Oblongata of Ibile Botanica around the topic of magic, intuition and connecting with the divine.

Tarot Sessions

While in session, Suhaiyla’s primary focus is to offer insight, relaying the information brought forward with clarity. Rather than telling you what is right or wrong/good or bad the tarot is offering insight into your spiritual, physical and mental cycles; a tool, shedding light on reoccurring patterns in your life that possibly no longer serve your highest good. This conversation opens up the possibility of a new way of thinking, and ultimately a renewal of energy. We all have guides that walk with us; the tarot can act as a bridge between yourself and your guides.

Inside Our Pop-Up Shop

Clio Peppiatt

Encompassing the fantastical motif of witchery, Peppiatt uses hand-drawn tarot card imagery delicately embroidered into vibrant blood red, rose fuchsia and sapphire blue materials. Juxtaposing romance and macabre further, silks are disrupted with embroidered skeletons and light frills are paired with structured blazers.

Black Power Tarot

From the visionary mind of King Khan was born the idea to celebrate Black Power using the mystic language of Tarot. He chose 26 African American people whom he felt followed a true path of illumination despite being born in a country that was so corrupt and vehemently against them. Khan had studied the Tarot over a decade and was given a deck of the Tarot de Marseilles by Alejandro Jodorowsky while he visited him at his home. Jodorowsky's personal teachings paved the way for Khan to understand the Tarot much deeper than ever before. The mission behind the "Black Power Tarot" was to add a heavy dose of surrealistic mythos to American history by replacing the archetypes of the major arcana with the chosen people thus giving the world a new deck.
