About this event

Family & Education • Education

In adoption, our priority is to ensure that children’s needs now and into the future are at the heart of decision making. The CAPR helps us to present this assessment and to move towards finding an adoptive family who is well placed to meet the child’s needs.

This workshop will provide a short introduction to the CAPR, and will explore its purpose, planning and information gathering, as well as reflect on some of the practice and challenges in writing the best possible report.

This will be most helpful for children and families’ Social Workers new to permanence work and for more experienced workers embarking on this as a new area of practice.

This 2-hour workshop be presented by Elizabeth Ross, Trainer/Consultant and Angie Gillies, Director of AFKA Scotland as part of Adoption Week Scotland 2025.
