What does “managing a quality service really mean”? What type of experience shows that I “deliver at pace”?
If these questions feel familiar then this event is for you! It will provide insights into what skills and behaviours allow you to demonstrate “Achieving Commercial Outcomes”, “Managing a Quality Service”, “Delivering Value for Money” and “Delivering at Pace”. Through a combination of panel and table discussions, we will explore how you can build experience in a wide range of ways in DfT and across the Civil Service or how you might already be doing some of this but not realise it.
Bernadette Kelly, Director General of Rail Group and the DfT Gender Champion will kick off the session with f her thoughts on the importance of these skills for DfT and our panel speakers will share their experiences. Speakers include (with more to be announced):
- Claire Gibbs, Deputy Director, Crossrail 2
- Sacha Hatteea, Deputy Director, Airport Capacity Delivery Division
- Natalie Golding, Civil Service Resourcing
There will also be a ‘community café’ session offering the opportunity to talk with people whose roles involve these skills on a daily basis with a cuppa to help get discussion going!
This session is hosted by the Gender Equality Network and is open to all. This is the first in a series of events to demystify the competency framework and empower us all to be the best we can be - look out for details in the coming months.
