• Participants will understand the reasons for taking dental photographs.
• Participants will understand what camera equipment and other accessories are required to take good photographs.
• Participants will understand camera settings and how and when to change them, e.g. F-stop and shutter speed.
• Participants will understand the technique of how to take some basic images.
• Participants will start to observe and communicate with patients daily in a better way that allows patients to understand what is happening to their teeth over a lifetime and make a more informed decision on intervention
Development Outcomes
This CPD course meets the criteria for the GDC’s development outcome A, C
Dr Vaghela qualified as a dental surgeon in 2009 from Guy's, King's and St Thomas' Dental Institute in London. He completed his vocational training in 2010 with the Oxford Deanery. In 2011, Dr Vaghela went on to complete his postgraduate examinations and gain The Diploma of Membership of the Joint Dental Faculties at The Royal College of Surgeons of England.
During 2011 Dr Vaghela also completed a year-long Certificate course in Contemporary Restorative Dentistry, which has enhanced his clinical practice to provide optimum patient care.
In 2012, Dr Vaghela started a postgraduate Masters Degree in Implant Dentistry at Warwick University. He is due to complete his Masters Degree in 2016. His postgraduate training has equipped him with the latest knowledge and skills required to provide high quality and evidence based dental implant therapy in practice.
