Description

We are delighted to invite you to the London Home of the Archbishop of Canterbury, as we hear from The Most Reverend Justin Welby on the topic of ‘Good news for everyone? Evangelism and other faiths.’.
Please join us at Lambeth Palace on Wednesday, 13th March..

Justin Welby, the 105th Archbishop of Canterbury, spent his first 15 years serving in Coventry diocese before being appointed as Bishop of Durham. After being in the post for only a year, the Archbishop was installed in Canterbury Cathedral on the 21st March 2013.

When commenting on the church, the Archbishop remarked “When the church is working it is the most mind-bogglingly, amazing, extraordinarily beautiful community on earth. It heals, it transforms, it loves, and it changes society.”. During his first 18 months in office, Archbishop Justin visited every province of the Anglican Communion, which involved 96 days of travel.

Since his installation, Archbishop Justin has engaged in many areas of public life. Topics such as Islam, ordination of women as bishops, inequality, taxation, Brexit, food banks, and modern slavery, to name just a few.
We are delighted to have him with us for our annual Deo Gloria lecture, and are very much looking forward to the opportunity of enjoy the surroundings of Lambeth Palace.
