2 part course - you must be able to attend both sessions each Tuesday.

We are delighted to be able to share Makaton training with you by one of the very few qualified Regional trainers within the County Council. This training is offered as an online taster training session to support your approach to this communication system with EY children with SEN.

This course will give you an insight into the Makaton Language Programme

By the end of the session, participants should be able to:

• Describe purpose and benefits of using Makaton

• Use a selection of signs and symbols from the Makaton Core Vocabulary to support understanding and expressive language both socially and functionally (relevant to the Early Years)

• Know where to access further information about Makaton

This training is for practitioners, Early Years staff and parents from Derbyshire.

Refunds may be issued up to 1 week before the event. If you are unable to attend, we will transfer your attendance to the next available course. Eventbrite's fee is non-refundable.
