Derbyshire Family Day
Sat 25 March 2017, 10:00 – 16:00 GMT
The aim of The Brain Tumour Charity’s Family Days for parents living with a brain tumour in partnership with The Lewis Moody Foundation are to provide a fun, relaxing, and supportive experience for the whole family. The days allow families the opportunity to spend time together away from a medical or home setting and provides them with the chance to enjoy a day out without the concerns of organising or worries of financial restrictions.
Our Family Days also provide the opportunity for parents and children alike to meet others experiencing similar difficulties and share their stories. For some of the people in attendance this is their first opportunity to be in contact with others affected by a brain tumour and the comfort and strength they draw from this is immeasurable.
There will be a range of activities to take part in including; Climbing, Archery, Den Building, Arts & Crafts and Team Tasks. There will also be lots of opportunities to meet other families and connect with others who are going through similar experiences. The day is free to attend and lunch and refreshments will be provided.
