Description

Research Workshop - A Wilder Dark Peak

Derbyshire Wildlife Trust are delighted to invite you to this FREE one day workshop at Sheffield Hallam University, on Tuesday 17th September. We hope to bring together academics and other researchers to explore whether a rewilding approach could improve the biodiversity value of the Dark Peak region of the Peak District National Park. We would like your help in establishing what base line data already exists concerning habitats and species across a broad swathe of the Dark Peak (including the South West Peak and Eastern Moors upland areas), and where there might still be gaps in information. Sharing this research will allow us all to consider further research needs and also to begin to consider future opportunities for improving biodiversity in this important, protected landscape.

The day will involve a series of presentations followed by facilitated workshop sessions. A detailed programme will follow shortly.
