DerwentWISE Heritage at Risk seminar
Wed 10 May 2017, 09:15 – 16:00 BST
A free seminar being held as part of the DerwentWISE Heritage at Risk project.
A series of short talks from a number of heritage professionals will place our project in its wider context of heritage management in the Derwent Valley Mills World Heritage site and its environs. We will learn more about Historic England's national Heritage at Risk programme, how heritage data is collected and managed and why heritage is an integral aspect of our urban and rural landscape management into the future.
Volunteers from the DerwentWISE Heritage at Risk project will also talk about their survey experiences, and we'll take a look at some of the trends emerging from our survey data.
Talks will be held in the morning, with an option for attendees to carry out some surveys in the afternoon.
The event is open to anyone. All welcome!
