Description

Design a Bag: Indian Patterns
Saturday 6th April 2019
The ArtSpace at Cass Art Manchester: 55-57 Oldham Street, Manchester, M1 1JR
10am - 1pm
£40

Explore Indian patterns and create your own patterned tote bag in this three hour course. You will learn about different patterns from India, taking inspiration from architecture and textiles - from palaces in Rajasthan, to temples in Kerala, to fabrics in Gujarat. You'll then learn how to structure and draw open-plan and mandala patterns freehand before decorating a tote bag with fabric ink, for you to take home.

The course has a small capacity to create a cosy learning environment and good one-to-one time with the artist.

All abilities welcome. Age 16+. All materials provided.

Please note: The ArtSpace is accessible by stairs only without lift access.
