Design is inherently biased. There are intended and unintended consequences to everything we do. Join us for a dialogue with Flavia Dzodan and Annelys de Vet on how as theorists and practitioners we navigate through this conflicted consciousness. Through the topics of coloniality, notions of trust, memetic communication, communities and radical imagination, we will collectively reimagine what a new attitude towards design could be today.
Flavia Dzodan is an independent writer, media analyst and cultural critic teaching at the Sandberg Instituut. An insight into her work can be gained via visiting her blog “This Political Woman.”
Annelys de Vet is a Brussels based designer, initiator and curator. She initiated a series of subjective atlases that map countries from a human perspective.
The lecture will take place on 16.05.2019, doors will open at 19.00 and it will start at 19:30h in the former MU space.
