Event description

Description

Join us at this free event for DBA members where we explore and debate how to embed design across every business function to harness its transformative power.

Organisations are currently operating in a challenging landscape. Growth is stubbornly low or slow while the impact of tech, when done well, is bringing about change at a faster rate than we have ever experienced before. Some sectors are buoyant, naturally agile in their working, whilst others, by failing to flex, are floundering in this fast moving market economy.

To thrive, transformation is key.

Hosted by Imagination London, this is day-long event of keynotes, panel discussions and networking. Speakers include:

  • Ron Burrage, Sr. Director, Head of Global Design, The Hershey Company
  • Mark van Iterson, Director Global Heineken Design, Heineken International
  • Louise Smith, Head of Design and Transformation, Royal Bank of Scotland
  • Mark Curtis, Founder and Chief Client Officer, Fjord
  • Jon Denham, Vice President Disruptive Innovation & Design, ConAgra Foods
  • François Lenfant, General Manager Healthcare Experience, Global Design at GE Healthcare
  • Judith Stracey, Chairman, White Logistics
  • Oliver King, Director/Founder, Engine Service Design
  • Jeremy Bassinder, Exec Partner – Consumer Products & UKI iX Leader for Consumer Products, Retail and Travel & Transport, IBM
  • Luke Mansfield, Vice President, Innovation, Global Beverage Group, PepsiCo

You understand that getting all of this right depends on where the decision for experience sits within your organisation. You already know that design’s ability to impact a business reaches far beyond its core product or service: strategy, marketing, operations, systems, HR and finance can all be transformed when design is effectively leveraged and embedded throughout a function. And you know that establishing design as a function in its own right, and as a line item in the P&L, are the only way to build strategic commitment to design. But whose job is to drive this change? Are designers and design leaders really the best placed or skilled individuals to galvanise a business around a new way of working?

Whether you’re buying in the services of consultant designers, managing the function within your organisation or creating the context and culture within which design can flourish, driving design authority into a business and developing a strategic understanding of how design can best be deployed across the whole of business will be critical to both your success and the success of your organisation. Could it be more critical than we imagine? Does the survival of your organisation depend on this?

This is your chance to get involved and share your perspectives, offer opinions and highlight your successes.

Places are limited to one per business as we are expecting high demand for tickets.
