About this event
As a proud partner of the inaugural Design Guild Mark trail, and the exclusive showcase for several award-winning pieces, KI is hosting an evening of drinks on Wednesday 17th September to celebrate outstanding design and to toast the achievements of recent year’s award winners.
KI is delighted to be hosting a drinks reception at its new Clerkenwell showroom during this year’s London Design Festival to celebrate the Design Guild Mark, and its recent award winners.
2025 marks the launch of the Design Guild Mark Trail, a new collaboration between the Design Guild Mark, KI and London Design Festival. The trail will spotlight celebrated designers and award-winning pieces from recent years, showcased in showrooms and designs studios across London.
As the final stop on the official trail, KI will host a selection of exclusive Design Guild Mark pieces that won’t be shown elsewhere throughout London Design Festival week. Designers of these pieces, as well as other winners of the prestigious award, will be present at the drinks event on Wednesday 17th September, offering attendees an opportunity to hear first-hand about their creative process and award-winning designs.
Some designs that can expected to be seen in the KI Showroom include iconic pieces such as the Woodland Seat by the Gaze Burvill Team, the Modern Flock Wallpaper Collection by Erica Wakerly, the Bronte British Lambswool Collection by Judith Coates for Abraham Moon and Disorder of Stasis by Charlotte Raffo and Joe Weaver for The Monkey Tree Puzzle.
Also on display on the evening will be insights into the history of the Design Guild Mark awards, past Jonathan Hindle prize winners and a curated selection of KI’s own workplace, education and hospitality furniture.
The Design Guild Mark award scheme is intended to recognise the best industrial design. A Design Guild Mark can be awarded for a product or collection of products that are currently in production, that were designed for, and are manufactured by, an industrial design process. Most importantly it is paramount that all entries are designed by a British Designer or Designers, or that design practices are based in the United Kingdom.
During London Design Festival, our showroom will be open all week, Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
