Design Roast: Design Inclusivity that Changes Lives with Julie Strawson & Konstantinos Papagiannopoulos.
Every day billions of unique customer experiences happen. Businesses are becoming obsessed with dashboards and cold data to determine how they interact with people. They each have an individual purpose for engaging and design based on good data can create inclusive experiences.
Exonera and Codica place user centred design at the core of every brand development project. In this lecture we'll show how design inclusivity enables design at scale. It requires rules and overarching principles to guide every step of the product design process. And it doesn’t get bigger than designing how government services interact with the public. At that level, it’s all about execution and delivery. Data-driven design at scale poses some major risks that inclusivity can help mitigate.

About Design Roast
The Design Roast is an open discussion group for anyone interested in creative design practices and theories of cross-disciplinarity, interactive design, new media technologies, visual communication and philosophies of the state-of-the current and future design. The Design Roast series brings together people from diverse fields and degrees of expertise, aiming to initiate discussions and debates among postgraduate students, researchers, academics, artists, theorists, designers and other creative practitioners.
Every week we'll invite alumni, industry partners and friends to come in and speak about their experience in design. This year's theme concentrates on DiD: Diversity & Inclusivity by Design
What is enabled when designers design with, and for, others?
To design inclusively is to engage people deeply throughout the design process, to share our practices and to amalgamate people’s unique knowledge into design interventions.
DiD focusing on design as a holistic action with the capacity to simultaneously engage conceptual and practical shifts that make our society a place with no boundaries.
