Event description

Description

We aspire to be a Library service that is renowned for delivering outstanding resources and services that enable our students to succeed in achieving their research, learning and professional goals, through the provision of exceptional online resources and effective, inspiring spaces to learn and work in. We’d like you to help us address some of the key themes which have come up for PG students in recent surveys, through focusing on how Libraries could innovate as a service to improve the resources provided for PG students.

We want to investigate what the future library looks like in terms of how it delivers on;
• Connecting you with the information resources you need to succeed.
• Enabling you to develop your academic skills for learning and future success.
• Providing you with effective and inspiring work spaces.

Book in for the workshop session between 1-2pm or just pop in and collaborate with your fellow postgraduate students and library staff thereafter, whilst having a bite to eat and some refreshments in this interactive workshop. Please feel free to bring along photos of what you like, or really don’t like, to help the planning for the re-design and modelling of ideal study spaces.

We also want to hear your thoughts around print services, exploiting open access opportunities, improving inclusive academic skills learning for disabled students and, of course, technology. If you are a postgraduate student and you have an idea to innovate the library services, we’d love to hear about it.

This event is part of a week-long Student Innovation Festival - a celebration of the innovative and creative work taking place across the University, and has been co-produced and curated by a team of students working with our Schools and staff. Check out the other events taking place across campus during the festival week.

Syniadau Dylunio – Atebion arloesol i broblemau hysbys

Gweithdy ail-ddylunio creadigol ar gyfer myfyrwyr ôl-raddedig yw hwn. Dewch i helpu'r Llyfrgelloedd i feddwl am syniadau arloesol ar gyfer y gwasanaethau llyfrgell a gynigir i fyfyrwyr ôl-raddedig

Ein nod yw bod yn wasanaeth Llyfrgell sy'n adnabyddus am gynnig adnoddau a gwasanaethau rhagorol sy'n galluogi ein myfyrwyr i gyrraedd eu nodau ymchwil, dysgu neu broffesiynol drwy gynnig adnoddau ar-lein o'r radd flaenaf a mannau effeithiol astudio a gweithio sy'n ysbrydoli. Hoffem i chi ein helpu i fynd i'r afael â rhai o'r prif themâu sydd wedi codi i fyfyrwyr ôl-raddedig mewn arolygon diweddar, drwy ganolbwyntio ar sut gall ein Llyfrgelloedd arloesi fel gwasanaeth i wella'r adnoddau a gynigir ar gyfer myfyrwyr ôl-raddedig.

Rydym am ymchwilio i sut olwg sydd ar lyfrgell y dyfodol o ran y canlynol:
• Eich cysylltu â'r adnoddau gwybodaeth sydd eu hangen arnoch i lwyddo.
• Eich galluogi i ddatblygu eich sgiliau academaidd ar gyfer dysgu a llwyddiant yn y dyfodol.
• Darparu mannau gwaith effeithiol ac ysbrydoledig ar eich cyfer.

Ymunwch â ni ar gyfer y sesiwn lawn neu galwch heibio i gydweithio â myfyrwyr ôl-raddedig eraill a staff y llyfrgell, a hynny wrth fwynhau rhywbeth i fwyta a lluniaeth yn y gweithdy rhyngweithiol hwn. Mae croeso i chi ddod â lluniau o'r hyn rydych yn ei hoffi a'r hyn nad ydych yn ei hoffi, er mwyn helpu'r gwaith o gynllunio ar gyfer ail-ddylunio a modelu mannau astudio delfrydol.

Rydym hefyd am glywed eich syniadau ynglŷn â gwasanaethau print, manteisio ar gyfleoedd mynediad agored, gwella sgiliau academaidd cynhwysol ar gyfer myfyrwyr anabl ac, wrth gwrs, technoleg. Os ydych yn fyfyriwr ôl-raddedig ac mae gennych syniad ynglŷn â sut y gellid gwella gwasanaethau'r llyfrgell byddem wrth ein bodd i glywed amdano.
