Design your own Christmas tote bag with Jasmin Issaka - Family workshop
Overview
In this hands-on, creative session, kids will design and paint their own reusable tote bag with psychedelic patterns, bold colours, and playful textures.
The workshop will have a relaxed vibe and we welcome everyone and all abilities. Our guest artist, Jasmin Issaka, will introduce 'Afro-psychedelic art', and provide lots of festive design inspiration. Everyone leaves with their own maserpiece!
What's included:
We'll provide the bags, fabric paints and markers, and we'll have a variety of stencils and sponges too for those less confident or less dextrous.
Please note the markers are permanent so we will provide aprons but you will need to take care with your clothes.
Open to all ages. Recommended age 5+, all children to be accompanied by an adult.
You just need to buy a ticket for the people doing the workshop. Supervising adults don't need a ticket unless they want to make a bag too.
Access:
Didsbury Good Neighbours is an accessible building, but let us know if you need help.
Local buses stop nearby on Wilmslow Road and Didsbury Village tram is a short walk away. Parking is extremely limited on the nearby streets but there are pay by the hour car parks by Didsbury Village tram (you can get the first hour free).
By coming along to this event you'll be supporting Didsbury Arts Festival's local arts projects with disadvantaged people in Didsbury, Burnage, Withington and Old Moat.
You'll notice we have an optional donation top up with tickets to help cover the costs of the venue.
